Tasted blind. Clearly very old and probably over the hill. Mostly caramel notes, but overall not unpleasant to drink. A bit of air did help it, but there is very little fruit (if any) left. Interesting experience, but unfortunately not much more.

The most fun here was reading the old fashioned label and the anticipation of finding a possible well preserved treasure. Came from a local cellar buyout where a few excellent btls have shown up now and again. The label had the local retailers price markdown tag from around $27 to $17. The color in the lighter vintage green btl looked promising. Unfortunately this was DOA and rasiny, old furniture dull. That's the risk but we had fun laughing at the label info from the era.

Some Nice Burgs at The Kenwood (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Murky medium red color. Followed one glass over 90 minutes. This bottle was just very advanced. The fruit was pretty much gone, there's a hint of red fruit but this is now dominated by celery, celery root, and a strongly vegetal element. There is a bit of leather and hints of dried flowers way in the background; like the color this is murky on the palate as well, vegetal, subtle sour red fruit, celery.

Sadly was corked and not drinking well, quite bitter and devoid of fruit.
