Starting to look a bit aged, opened up after about an hour into a huge wine. Brown sugar, anise, thyme and oak. Definitely could use some good food to go with. a bit tannic and oaky. Great acidity and a full bodied wine.

Mature Barolo. Red and sligthly brown color. A little muted nose, but with roses, wet earth and mushrooms. Red berries and raisins in the palate. Excellent for drinking now but seems like it is at its peak now.

Too hot/overripe. Palate was acceptable, but the nose was stewed. When young, it was more impressive, but it is showing its age from a risky year.
