Deep ruby red, solid to the rim, and with high optical density. Powerful and beautiful nose, showing medium plus intensity and complexity with aromatic organics, graphite, flowers, and dark fruits mingling above green and black pepper. Very dry with refreshing acidity, medium plus body, and plush smooth tannins, it shows a dense and chewy mouth-feel that supports an excellent intensity of flavours. The flavour profile is supported by some savory meatiness throughout, and shows dark berries, potpourri, and smoke on the attack, with some mellow vegetal notes filling in the midpalate (with the initial flavours gaining intensity if anything), and finishes by adding minerals, graphite, and cracked black pepper for good measure. The finish lingers for good length, leaving black pepper and leather. Really nice wine- easy to drink, excellent intensity and complexity, and actually is showing very well for its age. This exceeds expectations, and was a bargain!

Berries, smoke, flowers, sharpie, meat, mint even. Less rich and intense than the Andrew Will offerings and made more in a Northern Rhone style. Excellent.

Nice mouthfeel and balance of dark fruits (cherries, currants). While enjoyable now, the tannins are still quite present and it will be interesting to try again in a few years.
