Birthday dinner at Benu in SF (yum)... A bit of an enigmatic bottle... Lots to love -- ethereal lightness, swirling in and out those exotic spearminty truffle notes, argan oil, vanilla frosting, fresh shaved sandalwood. There was a strange resinous note to this tho that I almost never get in Raveneau, and a teeeny hint of corkiness that seemed to come and go. Wish I had more of these for a second opinion, but alas, this was it. Still paired beautifully with several dishes at Benu.
