Finally drinking my last bottle. Still holding up pretty well, but the fruit has fallen quite a bit and it's now more of the earthy, hebal, pepper and spice. Still quite good as I like that in a wine, but if you have any left...drink it up now.

Popped and poured, no decant needed. I can't recall any of my prior bottles being this good. Smooth, nicely balanced, tannins barely noticable. I can't imagine it will get any better so drink up!
Supposedly I have one more bottle. I hope I can find it soon.

Popped and poured. It's still excellent both with food and by itself. And after it's been open for a couple of hours this wine still opens up nicely and fills the mouth with flavor. So while the fruit may be fading a bit I think it's actually gaining some complexity so I would not agree that all bottles need to be finished quickly. I think it has a couple of years to go.

This one has been sitting in the cellar for 2 years or so; finally got around to opening it (it's the last of a case).
Color: Dark inky crimson, bordering on purple. Violet around the edges.
Nose: Somewhat closed off; nothing intense going on here. Plum, chalk, and a bit of liquid smoke.
Taste: Dark fruits and oak. Plum, leather, and some tar. They syrah is definitely dominating in this blend; some of the juiciness of the merlot is there too, but not really getting any of the three other varietals in the blend. Spice on the finish, which lasts for 5 to 10 seconds.
It's decent. I think I remember this being more fruity in the past, though it's been quite some time. The wine is probably fading a bit at this point, though it's still pleasant.

Date drunk approx. Age is helping a bit. A bit more complexity that prior notes.
