  Delicious dark berries, earth, and floral notes on the nose and palate with savory tannins and a moderate finish.

  Garnet with slight bricking. Lovely aromatics of cherry, rose petal and earth. Pleasantly light though with good tannic spine. Great with seared scallops. Amazing value at $32, thanks to the Wine and Cheese Cask!

  Visual: some bricking, clear dark red. Nose showing medium matured aromas of crushed cherry kernels, tar, shoe polish and rubber. Also some dried fruits. Palate is elegant with a very nice food friendly acidity and melted tannins which ends in a nice long finish. In balance now. This is a nice one!

  nose - gorgeous cherry, nutty, slightly balsamic, mushroom, mature wow nose
  mouth - complex, still quite tannic but showing lots of tertiary flavors. i note violets. probably cans till use a few years in bottle.
