I like it age clearly do good things to this wine - you have an elegant and very smooth barbera - lots of fruit - raspberries and cherries - a bit more mature than in a younger wine. Very nice balance - and actually a good long aftertaste - which is not something I normally think about in a Barbera. I think this wine and I am sorry this was the only one I had - very well deserved 91.

Red berries like redcurrant and raspberries on the nose. Feminin and light for the vintage, but with great intensity and length. A bit more powerful than the 2013 tasted same evening.

Cool red and blue fruits with firm acidity. Hints of baker's chocolate on the palate; not oaky creamy milk chocolate. Open twenty four hours, the acidity settles down, which results in a much rounder, smoother mouthfeel. Nice, long finish of juicy fruit backed by tangy acidity. A traditional, balanced, well-made Barbera that is enjoyable alone or with food. Approaches the quality level of G. Conterno's Barbera, but without the length and breed of that wine.

A touch of menthol in the nose. Clean, pure and very precise red fruit with a whipping acidity. Wonderful balance. A great old school traditional barbera.
