Another Potelabomb. Lots of acid, slight oxidation, and no meaningful fruit. To be clear, this wine was not flawed in any way. It just wasn't any good. Poured it out.
This is another example for me of Potel having a serious quality control problem, i.e. he just doesn't seem to care about QC. I've had some delicious Potels but a frighteningly high number of disasters from crus that should produce good wine particularly in good years. I'm not buying this producer any more.
Deep brooding and powerful dark berry fruits. Rich and sweet but not ott. A moreish type of Pinot. Touch of mushy mushrooms and undergrowth at this period with sous bois but quickly covered up by rich fruits again.
This is clearly a better wine compare to the Lavaux, very perfume with sweet red and dark cherry tones, incense fragrance and underlying bitterness. Not necessary complex and deep, but very focus. Medium bodied, the intense mid palate has this bitter flavor with spices, some silky tannin that leads to rubbery, woody spiced long finish. Buy - No.
