No notes taken. This wine is now at its absolute peak and wont get any better. On the nose and palate the signature Barolo aromas are all there, the fruit core is still impressive and wonderfully balanced by all the tertiary aromas. Good aromatic precision. The wine still has lots of tension, still a bit muscular yet has beautifully come together with well-rounded tannins, a good acidity, a creaminess that brings it all together. Easily 94/95 pts.
Decanting: This doesn‘t need air. Good from the go.

I’d put this in the midmodern category. There’s a mocha note that hints at small oak, yet there is also tar and rose petals, along with some pretty black cherry fruit. Pretty fun, if not super traditional B+

Opened bottle, but did not decant, 2 hours before dinner. Left 1/3 bottle in cellar and better on night 2.
Dark brown/red color and throwing sediment.
Rose petals, dried cherry, tar, sour cherry and tobacco on nose. Full body, high acidity (low ph), ripping tannins and long finish. Sour cherry, cherry, tobacco and earth on palate. 92+/-

Excellent Barolo. Tart, black cherry, forest floor, earth, dusty tannins on the finish.
