Nothing like the 1999 which I can't find anymore but the '04 was somewhat pleasant. It was perhaps a little too soft and fruity but worked with the simple pasta dish we served. I better hurry up and finish the last two bottles...this won't last too long

This is a blend of 50% Nebbiolo and the other half composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir. To me, this makes it 50% foreign infidel. Very darkly fruited, no doubt from the presence of alien varietals, and pretty obviously oaked. The mouthfeel has some resolution to it, with the tannins showing only in the background, and the wine appearing soft, plump and ready to drink. However, there is some dryness to the finish and my impression is that the oak and the tannin will outlive the fruit. At Leonardo Restaurant in Balzers, Liechtenstein. Pretty impressive wine list here; too bad our host chose this one.

Starting to show its age but still drinking nicely. Food friendly, nice balance of fruit and acid. Drink soon.
