Dee Vine Wines Spring Pop Up German Tasting (The Morris, San Francisco): Deep yellow. Both lower pitched fruit and high toned botrytis aromas. Very full, ripe Golden Delicious apple, lower acidity, and a harsh, pungent finish that doesn't blend in. Don't care for the balance at all here.

Deep amber. Tropical fruit nose. Pineapple, spices, slight but perfectly balanced bitter elements. Nice long finish. Paul D ; "delicious". Leaves you wanting more. Excellent

Patina: maybe 93; wow--very pure pear and peach fruit, good intensity, slately mineral mouth of clean rocks, good finish, perfect with pear soaked in riesling. Awesome. Need more good auslese.

Overripe mango, smoke, hints of bot?, and more tropical fruit. Lush and ripe, but has pretty good acid. Surprisingly well balanced, but not particularly defined and somewhat fuzzy in focus. This has admirable balance as it seems really ripe with some bot. More focus would be nice, but i love the sugar/acid balance. This is a mouthful up front, with brown sugar, tropical fruit and spice; it lags a bit on the finish. Nice wine and a pretty good value, all things considered. Seems to improve with some air, but definitely better at low temp.

(Von Hövel Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese) Medium golden yellow color; focused, apricot, botrytis, floral, coconut nose; tasty, tart apricot, mineral, dried apricot, lemon palate with close to medium acidity; medium-plus finish
