Guests had gone and the wine of the night had been drained dry but my wife wanted another glass to sip while we relaxed, so I opened this and poured her a glass. I took a sip and thought it was about the same as my note from Feb '24. What a suprise when we poured a couple of glasses the following night - we couldn't believe how much weight it had put on. Suddenly I could see where all the reviewing notes were coming from. Will decant the rest of these for at least a couple of hours before drinking.

Pale red. Light strawberry and slightly floral nose. Under-ripe strawberry on the palate - not sour but slightly tart. Medium+ acidity and medium tannins that were somewhat refined. Well made with decent structure but for me it just registers as a lightweight - both literally (in terms of body it's much lighter than I'd expect for a PN) and figuratively (I've had plenty of gamay that impress me more than this.) Okay for a weeknight PnP with light fare but it doesn't deliver anything distinctive. Meh!

Aromas of cherry, cranberry and cloves. Some volatile acidity. Californian Pinot Noir which feels like a resemblance of Beaujolais. Plate is smooth, ver well balanced and juicy. Very enjoyable. Not overly complex, but lush and a crowd pleaser.

Quite a barnyard nose. Had to wait an hour for it to blow off.

PnP, red fruit (strawberry, raspberry), blackberry, some herbs. Medium+ acidity, medium finish. Young but approachable
