  • Ken told us that it was 2005. Served blind, my first guess was Faiveley clos des cortons as it displayed crushed red fruits and strong presence of tannins. He then told us Echezeaux so my guess was Forey. The nose displays ripe crunch red fruits, red cherries, licorice, mushroom, strong presence of mineral and red flowers. Excellent concentration, ripe red fruit driven palate impression, strong mineral presence, bright acidity, slightly coarse tannins and good mineral driven finish. This masculine wine is still very youthful. Not much finesse but pure and mineral. Need another ten years minimum.
