Ex-chateau late release. A new label and cork in 2016, so 45 years of pristine storage, and it shows. Drank alongside a 1970 Latour and this was holding its own. Much lighter than the Latour and garnet to tawny, so definitely in its final throws of life. Loads of spice and pepper on the nose. Floral and elegant. A great bottle for this challenging vintage. Served to ESH for his birthday.

Served blind, light red, leafy, feminine compared to the 70 Latour magnum drunk alongside, mature nose, guessing Bordeaux, wow 71!
