  • This is no Buzz +5. Lots of vibrant blue fruits with spice, especially white pepper, to add interest. A full, smooth wine after an hour in the decanter. Decent acidity--for the variety--along with supportive tannin and no heat. A definite QPR winner. The canonical PS bonus: big fruits and wine geekiness all in the same bottle.

  • Deep dark color......smooth and creamy, yet still dusty firm tannin. Juicy dark fruit(blackberry, plum, black cherry), strong dark coffee, dried herbs, dusty sweet briary spices. Creamy smooth, yet has a kick with some sour tannin and spice. Some florals, old leather, and white pepper faintly appear. The flavors are complexing and tasty...but mellowed, not intense. Just what you want in a big bruiser, low priced wine...with a little age on it. Foppiano is the King of all Kings in qpr Petite Sirah land in my book!

  • A really nice PS, not as tannic as Foppiano's Sonoma County offering. Black fruit forward in the nose and on the palate. Nice finish.

  • Bright electric red. Round aromas of red fruit and briar. Really nice round medium bodied fruit with spiciness on the finish. 11/04
