  • Garnet with bloody brown centre and pale rim. The faint nose begins with cabbage, followed by the much more pleasant autumn woods bouquet with a spot of red fruit at the top of the inhalation. Red currants follow through to the palate, with a little bit of beef tea, and a tiny splash of chocolate cream before finishing with a lovely bloom of strawberry acidity. Nice winter day aftertaste - mulchy but in a good way. All very delicate and subtle with a firm, velvet feel in the mouth. Quite poised apart from the slightly rustic tannin that pokes through at the end.
