Such a beautiful example of what Long Island Merlot can achieve. Well crafted, aging perfectly and such a wonderful wine with a meal or by itself. Pouring a glass immediately releases the plum and spices - especially appropriate for this time of year since it smells like baking spices.

More balanced than most of the long island reds showing a balance of the earth, smoke, leather notes that are usually dominant in LI reds with some red and black fruits. Nice structure and mouth feel, definitely a well made wine. Not worth the price point though, there are many superior wines at the $50 mark.

Nose of dark berries, chocolate, a touch of funk & leather. Just enough tannins to let you know that they are there. Ripe, dark berries and just a touch of oak.

(Grapes of Roth Merlot) #2; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-I like it; some greenness; tomato & eggplant; heavy chocolate; very intriguing; Bordeaux-like; TASTE-nice upfront fruit (plum & cherry); a little off-balance on the mid-palate; solid length on the finish; very tannic, very big & bold; structured for the long term; pretty standard; I've had many $25-$30 Bordeaux's as good; a pedestrian effort; DS-92; GV-86
