Bright, antique gold. Sweet nose of tropical fruit, cream, tapioca pudding, and minerals. Buttery texture, with the requisite amount of oak and vanilla found in California chardonnay. A citrus mid-palate extends through the intense peach pit finish. Not bad for $7.

A great bargin at $6.00. This is a nice buttery chard with a nose of pear and a little apple. On the palate, some citrus but mostly vanilla and again, a little apple. Buttery finish, but pretty short.

Bought today and drank from the fridge. Popped and poured with dinner. If you are looking for a big, buttery, oaky Calif. Chardonnay at a good price - this is it. Rombauer Jr. Butterscotch, almond, vanilla flavors. Will get more at $5.99 at Grocery Outlet in Pleasant Hill, Ca. Will be good this Spring/Summer on patio with cheese and crackers.

A Corked Wine - How Lucky! plus some basic QPR's (Wine 101 - Cuyahoga Community College): This was corked. How lucky can you get. I am teaching a Wine 101 course at the local community college. Our first two wines were screw capped, and I was trying to explain the benefits of screw caps. I talked about TCA, but to have everyone try the wine and see for themselves really is lucky. We had no backup for this wine, but I would rather teach a class like this about TCA than have a pristine bottle of this wine.
