Purchased at Domaine. Light yellow with exuberant nose of melon and jasmine. Fat, rich, dense palate with a terrific finish. Is Pernot not the best deal in Puligny?

Lovely showing. Round palate, no hard edges, with touches of hazelnut, truffle and honey. The acidity has folded into the palate and the mouthfeel is round and smooth and yet this wine is still fresh and lively. Bridgehampton with the Wallicks.

Blind White Burgs - Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet (Acadia): In a 2000 BBM horizontal. Light gold with a spectacular nose that has so much lift, intensity and depth. Aromas of rich white fruit, toast, mineral and spice. The palate has excellent concentration and richness with taut, driving acids. Well balanced and delicious. Shows much younger than 17 years old.

(Paul Pernot et ses Fils Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet) Medium canary yellow color; lovely lemon, mineral nose with a touch of honey; tasty, concentrated, tart lemon, mineral, ripe lemon palate; long finish (group's 2nd WOTF; my WOTN)

Blind White Dinner: Top Producers' Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet (Acadia - Chicago IL): Tasted blind. I've always enjoyed this wine, but tonight's bottle was the best it has ever shown (haven't tasted since 2014)! Cross-section of apple aromas and flavors with wintergreen, rosemary and white pepper. Very long and complex.

Paul Pernot Featured at the Lieu-dit Cru Blind White Burgundy Dinner (L2O - Chicago IL): Served blind to the group, single blind for me in this flight. Mature aromas and flavors with lots of ripe apple and very good spice. Drink up.
