Château Gruaud-Larose Vertical (Knightsbridge and Abigail's): Admittedly I'm not a fan of aged white dry BDX, but this really tasted past peak and while interesting was no longer good/tasty to my palate. Nose opens with some swirling to reveal mature white fruit, hey and aged mushroom notes (which I don't particularly enjoy in white wine). Palate has a funky, earthy profile. There's still some fresh acids that move the wine along. But I just don't dig the flavors and profile of this wine.

Gruaud Larose Tasting and Dinner (Northbrook, IL): Dark color. Mostly past its peak, with some lingering oily essence that was able to pique a hint of interest.

Still alive. Lots of kerosine.
