After an '02 Carlisle Carlisle that seemed OTH, I opened this with some angst. What a beaut (especially for a 15.7%-er). Dark coloring followed by a fragrant nose that spoke to Mike's stylistic palate; a solidly Carlisle signature. Then the wine hit the palate and all concern was dissipated. This is a beaut, a long-ish impact on the tongue, one that further resolved itself over 2 hours. I see there are 37 bottles still in cellars (give or take). No reason to wait; this is a great tasting Zin.
Drank Magnum for Thanksgiving. Delicious concentrated red fruit, with minty, raspberry finish. Absolutely delicious, and had the perfect cranberry notes to go with the turkey fixins. Wish I had more. Must now wait for the 2005s to age a bit.
