Zinfandel (Snowgoose): Way better than the '03 Barricia in a tasting. Showed very nice ripe red fruits and a very spicy palate. Jammy raspberries explode towards the finish along with some licorice. This was so refreshing after having the very bland Barricia. There is hope for Ravenswood!

Opened and drank over 3 hours. Initial nose of fruit then the alcohol came out and it was overpowering. Dark fruits along with a bit of mushrooms comes through in the mid palate. Some tannins so perhaps a bit more time with this one.

Beyond peak. If you have it, drink it. Can tell it was good in its prime. Good bones.

Solid Zin. Nice bright red fruits with good jam and pepper flavors up front. Dark fruit come through as you finish...along with more spicyness.

Zin tasting: The fruit doesn't hold up to the tannins. Don't see this wine going anywhere but downhill. 82-83
