  • Nice, but I was an outlier at the table and didn't love this. Others disagreed.

  • A "billionaire" stuff, I'm fortunate enough to have it at age of 28. The 1986 vintage wasn't a monumental vintage of DRC, except for the Montrachet case. But still, words are too pale to describe a wine like this. Light grenat color without any ageing sign, showing its youth. The nose was a merge of rose petal(not really a withered rose LOL) ,cherries at their quasi-maturity stage, and a collection of spices just like Indian Bazarre. The aromas were so soft and seductive that you simply couldn't ignore its existence. The palate didn't respond the nose at all for the sake of its extremely full body, just like Pinot Noir from warmer climate. The mellowness together with fine-grained tannin(don't wanna use velvelty coz it's abused!) gave me a mouth-coating sensation which was unforgettable! The finish was not as long as expected, thus I could not give it a full-mark. It was an experience rather than wine tasted!

  • Tasted from Jeroboam. Light Cherry in color from candlelight. Soft cherry flavors and some soy and spices. My nose knew this would be a winner. Perfect balance and roundness on the palate with a soft silky texture. The flavors comprised of again light cherry and strawberry nuances. It has an ever so lightly (as I would call it) sour note to the cherry flavor. This isn't a bad flavor but just another nuance to this perfect large format wine. The finish lingers and goes on and on. Then comes the smile.
