New Year's Eve Celebration at Steve & Barb's house. Our yearly tradition started out beautifully with this fine Champagne. Medium gold in the glass with a consistent and fine bead. A powerful wine showing minerality and a slight yeastiness. Distinct note of orange zest on the long finish. Drinking very youthfully and I think it will be at its best in about 10 years. 50+14+13+9+9 = 95+

Wines and BBQ (Claus B): My first impression is this is an older champagne.A little subdued in the nose but some leaven, apple and sherry showing. The mousse is fine and not particularly heavy at all. Aftertaste has some tickling acid.
