  still alive and kicking! this was showing a bit of aged profile, but after a solid 45-60 min decant, was really, really good. dark fruit still present, tannins well integrated but definitely present, cedar and leather and thyme flavors. paired exceptionally well with steak and balsamic/worchester pan sauce.

  Dark garnet colored, medium bodied, complex aromatic blackberry and black cherry fruits with notes of cassis, subtle spice, black tea, cigar box with hints of cedar and anise with full, ripe tannins and a hint of minerality on a long smooth finish. Interesting comparison tasting against Marco Digiulio Pym Rae vineyard cab .. same estate source, same vintage.

  On opening this was full of black cherry and blackberry on the nose. Great balance, lots of black fruit on the palate.

  Decanted a little less. About 70 minutes. Still great. Dark color. Tannins are smooth. Wonderful mountain cab.

  Drank on Fathers Day with a New York strip. Opened an hour before drinking. Plum and blueberry nose, moderately tannic. Great match with the steak and with the dark chocolate we had after dinner.
