[750ml] Wow really intense coffee notes in here - it's not like the wine's mature, heavy, oxidised or tired - it still has plenty of fruit, it's just tastes like it's all been rinsed in black coffee. Intriguing. Needless to say, it you have this available at Brunch-time....
In a (very) good place now from 750ml, as usual the flavour profile reminds me a lot of Cristal with quite sweet fruit notes and a mouthwatering acidic note on the finish, always while staying balanced.
A fantastic Champagne. Perhaps even the best 99 I’ve had I believe? In the perfect window right now. Loads of happy bubbles. Creamy and fresh with soft citrus & exotic fruits and yellow apples, with good acidity and perfect balance. Looong finish! Simply awesome! (93+)

(Vilmart & Cie "Cuvée Création" Brut) ($120.00) The ‘99 goes from strength to strength; it smells like cheesy puff-pastry snacks but shows a new and stunning fruit, as the best ‘99s slim down and get quieter and more refined. The complex finish would hardly have seemed possible. The vintage is maybe ready to make fools of us – us – who insisted it was ineluctably simple. In fact this wine is on the way to being – maybe even – sublime.
