Served straight; apples, honey, heather, chalk, roasted nuts, and light peat in the nose; lots of ripe tropical fruits, honey, wood spices, and some peat on the palate; medium+ long finish, with also tropical fruits, toffee, and some sea salt; overall, quite enjoyable as well; so 91-92 points again.
The extra six years on oak have deepened and intensified the character of heather and honey; there is a hint of natural sweetness, hints of peat and seaweed, the oak does not dominate in any way; an intense and energetic Highland Park. At Berners Tavern, London, UK.
Fresh (vanilla oak) on the sharp nose, as well as faint seaweed and some peat. More oak on the palate and peat on the midpalate. Smoke, peat and salted caramel on the warming finish. Not as smooth as I would have expected from an 18 Y.O. Note: this was from a 50ml miniature.
