  Unassuming buty competent pairing with Venezuelan Hallacas. No detailed notes were taken, but it was not sweet enough to clash with the dates and raisins nor too dry to balance the meaty masa and banana leaf greenness.

  This is a competent effort with a bright floral nose with hints of bread dough and crushed walnuts. It has nice balance, energetic bubbles (the mouse was thick enough to make me rinse the glasses, fearing excess dish soap) but there's a distinctive, overripe melon character on the palate that reminds me of cheap cava. Given the price point, this is ultimately disappointing. For me.
