level lowermost neck, brittle cork, colour OK for age, nose still lively but showing age, a bit thin and austere, especially for an '85, palate very dry, more structure than fruit, perhaps lost fruit through age but I suspect more a function of the original character, still a good food wine but "strict" rather than "generous" in style, drink up (my last bottle of 6, which is just fine)
excellent colour for age, still black cherry-red, direct, not particularly complex nose, fine fruit, with class, still lively on the palate, distinct hints of the typical hard green character of Moulis, good example, drinking well
Kept in cold cellar since release. Classic cru bourgeois from a good vintage still with adequate fruit but should drunk now. In fact should have been drunk before! At the time wines of this quality were to lay down but really there is no point nowadays!
