  • Yikes! Seriously good burgundy from the '96 vintage...

Stored since purchase in my cold cellar, deep ruby color with slight bricking on at the rim. Nose of beef blood, iron and minerals with fruit notes of red cherry and menthol. In the mouth superbly balanced with grippy tannins and a bite of acidity which pulls it all together. Another wine which is thick and full of flavor but refreshing at the same time. Really should be drinking this with a great cut of beef. Now why didn't I buy more of this back in the late 90's?..
