Red fruits, spices and some floral notes. Tar and nicely integrated oak. At drinking peak. One I'd like to try again with more time in glass to open up (I had this as part of a quick succession of many Barolos this evening)

It was bold, powerful, complex, but also settle. Didn't decant this 20-year-old, and it evolved in the glass throughout the 2-hour drinking window.
It's still grippy, but in a comfortable way. Palate surrounded with red fruits, noticeably strawberry and plum. The finish was really long. This is perhaps just beginning to peak with another 5-7 years to go.

Barolo Boys Theme Lunch at Wakanui. Drank in Grassl Cru. Aired in bottle for about 3+ hours already. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of floral violets, dark red cherries, purple fruits, boysenberries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), structured yet fine elegant high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, boysenberries, dark licorice, sweet tea leaves. Long finish. Very good quality. Darker than red kind of fruit spectrum, yet overall it still exudes grace and poise. Could only be a Chiara Boschis. Feels fresher than expected given its age. This feels like it can still develop more!

It's one of the most delicious Barolos I've had.
