Decanted for sediment. Medium purple color. Nose of black cherry, black currant, toasted oak, sweet spices, vanilla and a touch of dill perhaps. Similar flavors on the palate with a mix of dark berry fruit, oak and some sweet pipe tobacco. Medium tannins and acid. Moderate length. Very enjoyable aged Napa cab. Not sure it will improve much though so I would likely drink in the short term if holding any.

It has been 2 years since the first bottle before cracking open the last of these gorgeous etched beauties. Drank opposite an '05 Schrader T6. The BV held it's own and delivered on the dark fruit and a bit of better balance on the nose. The structure and palate was not up to the Schader but not much else is. Still a great bottle of wine for the price and always fun to drink single vineyard, single clones to get a selective take on the Cabernet spectrum.

Lighter than expected. The nose is a lot dankier than the palate. Nice balance between old & new.

Very dark color. Aromas of dark plum and other sweet dark fruit. Very smooth on the palate. Nice balance. Decent finish.
