Still dark and vibrant color with minimal bricking. Aromas of aged leather, berry, plum; flavors of tart berry, plum, earth. Med to full bodied with plenty of acidity and substantial tannic structure.
Drink or hold.

This wine is still very intensely coloured, holding ruby to the rim with just a little duskiness there. Fabulous viscous legs. Decent nose of black fruits, cassis and some spice, perhaps a hint of oak. There's a similar flavour spectrum on the palate backed by quite strong acidity and some slightly drying tannin; good intensity to the flavours. Despite what I assume was significant extraction, it's not a New World fruit bomb but nor does it come across entirely as Old World, sits somewhere in between but closer to the latter. The structure could support a little more fruit but it's not imbalanced. Some length. The structure suggests more bottle age and whilst I'd be just slightly nervous about the fruit, I think on balance I'd give this another 3 years.

Good showing, ton's of sediment, dark rich red color, dry on the pallet, smooth, sweet ripe dark berries, soft tannins, easy drinker, very approachable
