  Amazing wine! Cork was soft but I was able to remove with a standard corkscrew...very carefully...
  
  Deep-purple in the glass with just a slight brownish tint on the rim; wonderful blackberry on the nose with a hint of cedar; black & blueberry on the palate; long finish. I'd suspect this wine might be just over it's peak, but will still be great for five more years! 2nd to only to Grange for me so far when it comes to Australian vino to date!...

This wine first seemed to finish a little lean and metallic but after opening and giving this one a few hours it really did quite well. Purple and black fruits, still rather youthful. Black pepper finish. Very complex. This wine has a lot of life ahead of it. The 2006-2016 drink date all depends on whether or not this one was kept in the pantry (above window) or was actually cellared well, in which event it will likely continue to drink well through about 2028.
