  Wow, found this in a closeout section of a wine store. I'm a huge fan of mountain fruit and I know Venoce to be a solid producer. This wine was awesome. Strong charging with firm tannins. Bummer that it went down really fast as I was excited to keep tasting it. Decanting helped since it didn't last longer than dinner. Black fruits, dark chocolate, herbal element that leaned towards tobacco and then dried spice came in. I went back and picked up the last 3. I would think it will definitely hold well for another decade with the next 3-6 in a prime window. Will drink another one around xmas to better verify how long I will hold my other 2.

  Not a big Merlot fan, I was blown away by this deep, spicy wine. I want more now! It was enjoyed with a shrimp dish and chicken marsala. There was not an off note and would be a perfect boutique wine selection.
