I really enjoyed this, as it is my style of Pinot! Black cherry and baking spice notes on the palate. It's still a big wine. Heavily extracted it stood up well to the dark meat chicken and sausage meal I had at a NYC restaurant. I don't know if Kistler/Occidental still makes their Pinots in this style, but I really enjoyed this bottle.

Double decanted off its sediment and served just over an hour later. Just a slight bit of bricking- less than I’d have expected. Black cherry and baking spice notes dominate the bouquet and palate. Nutmeg and spice carry the finish. Nice.

black cherries, forest, cool fruit, tons of eucalyptus, lots of dried herbs. Very sweet on the palate, like candy, but alcoholic as it runs down the back of the throat.

pretty alcoholic when poured into the Zalto Burgundy glass, and served too warm. Very sweet on the palate, with toast, leather, eucalyptus notes. Still really sweet after two hours, like bubblegum.
