very very open and aproaching now, show some sweet red fruit, some mushrooom, licorce and hiding animal underneath, the body is full, lots of energy and also already second component developed with succullent fruit, still some tannin, pair weill with beaf.
Drank with Christmas dinner of mushroom crusted tenderloin. The wine was open for 4 hours before dinner and was still a bit of a tannic beast. Starting to gain a little weight. There was a nice core of dark fruits, mushrooms and Forest floor. Drank side by side with the '93 and '97. The least pleasurable of the 3.

(Clos du Tart Clos du Tart) Wide, herby, and cooly mineral aromas. Plenty of depth of flavour, some maturity but the tannin despite being less forward than the Lambrays also needs 3-5 years. There's a slight metallic edge to the flavours but not too bad. Good, but less successful than the Lambrays.
