opened and let breathe in the bottle for 3 hours. Last of three bottles purchase 10+ years ago. Good amount of bricking. Flavor profile of a very mature bordeaux. A real treat to drink an Insignia with this much age. Would drink these up if I had more.

Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, fairly clear looking. Nose of dried herbs, dishwater, anise and a mix of red fruit. Flavors of red berries, plums and minerals. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink now.
Madison Offline 2019; 10/18/2019-10/19/2019: It was a treat to taste this again. I loved this wine 9 years ago, but it was already mature and delicate at that time. Since then, it has evolved toward the end of its drinking window. Lovely mature garnet color. A bit of pretty dried tea leaf remains, but bretty bandaid and beef bouillon notes have come forward. Not scored.

I loved this wine but it was not unanimous around the table. My brother and my wife, the heathens, did not like it at all. Neither is a fan of the oldies, they like the grapey modern ones best. I found this a real beauty, just big and chocolatey, a BIG mouthful of mature CA Cab, smooth as silk with no flaws. What a treat, the barbarians be damned :)

A gift that our friend Matt shared with us as he prepared to move out of state. This bottle was a treasure he was rewarded with after a charity event he worked at a wine patron's estate. I can't do the wine justice in words but it was delightful in its structure, complexity and balanced maturity- a great wine shared by a good friend on a somewhat sad occasion.
