Drunk two bottles of this in recent weeks as well as Barthod's '07 Chambolle-Musigny and there's not a vast distance between them: the bourgogne is a little grainier in texture but, otherwise, punches well above its weight. Fruit profile is quite dark with some sweet spice. Improved with air so should be good for another couple of years at least; wish I had more.
Delicious. Pinot gaminess, dark mineral, light red fruits. Palate is not particularly complex, but nicely balanced acidity and fruity mouthfeel. Light bodied, but with some grippy tannins and decent length.
