  Improved since my last bottle in 2012. Quite smooth, with dark fruits, licorice and tar. Medium to full bodied, dry with some spice and soft tannins on the finish. Has a mildly austere finish that keeps me from giving it a 90. Enjoyed it and decent QPR but nothing to rave about.

  Far from thin, this wine was very good with a huge upside potential. It showed no sign of age, was full bodied and hinted at potentially great things to come. If I were to taste this blind I would NEVER have guessed it to be a 10 year old wine. There was no fading of color, no sediemnt and the flavors were strong and extremely youthful and smooth with obvious rich sweet tannin. The flavor profile was definitely on the dark side of the fruit spectrum with bright cranberry coming through the middle with hints of tar and forrest floor on the finish. I have seen three year old Aussies show more age than this aging infant. The only reason I am not giving it 90+ (although I believe it will reach it in the years to come) is because while the components are there, they never fully came together over the course of five hours it sat in the decanter. I will be purchasing more and sit on them for at least three more years before touching them again - 89-92+.

  Dark with lots of structure, still fresh but needs more time to balance acidity and tannins. Ok but not quite what I expected. Have a few bottles left, let's see in a year or two.

  I completely agree with the Robert Parker score! This is not light, but rather full-bodied and quite complex. It is perfect for drinking now, and I have no idea how it will mature.
