Popped & poured. With cheese & oatcakes. Similar to previous experience, good work-a-day pomerol. Drank half the bottle, recorked and left at room temperature for 24hrs. Next evening (also with cheese) WOAH! Completely transformed. Loads of fruit, just the right acid vein running through to give freshness and wonderful tannins to hold it all together. I might be being stingey with 93pts - it really was that good. Only missing a little more length and depth to score even higher. (cue l'Eglise Clinet...!)
Decanted 2hrs. Dark body with tawny right at the rim. Nice Pomerol nose, complex with tea & hint of mocha. Medium bodied, tannins well integrated. Fairly simple in the mouth-not mouth filling at all, more a straight line from front to back with a short, fresh finish. Light structure still there in the dry tail. A nice everyday Pomerol, at it's best with food I would say. Not earthshaking, but very pleasant.
