A perfect cork, beautiful dark color, great fill, but sadly while sound, it’s not very good. Dried and lean with an oxidative quality that seems to cover up the fruit flavors and nuance. Drinkable and clearly Burgundy, but based on the notes here, a poor vintage for Damoy. Too bad.

A birthday bottle 10 days after my ski accident at Steamboat. A bit of a disappointment sadly. On the nose a low level oxidative, maderized note note which I am sensitive to and never a fan of. Hoped it would blow off but it did not. Good concentration and powerful as it comes across the palate with red fruits and some mature Burg secondary stuff, but lacking in depth and complexity for a Chambertin from this great vintage. Also a bit angular and if not quite astringent, neither was it seamless. Not drain fodder but this would get stomped in a comparative tasting and wasn't super enjoyable on its own sadly. My only bottle.

Little over 5 years from my last bottle. This put some weight on. This is a big wine that’s doing it’s best to keep it all balanced and with an extended decant it barely pulls it off. This probably isn’t in its prime and will drink well for at least another decade. Revisit 2027.

During a Paulée dinner, so only brief impressions. This felt a bit over extracted and tired. Not oxidative but just picked too late and pushed too much in the cellar is my guess.

Very musty nose. Fading fruit. Past it’s prime. Too bad.
