Based off of 99 fruit, perhaps not the best kept bottle but it has developed nicely, with some nuttiness, toffee, and baked apple. Not particularly fine but I think the wine showed well for no dose within this era

Egly ouriet was and is still one of my favorite champagnes. I like the power the fruitiness and the little oxidative note. You feelthe barrique but you don't taste it. Perfect to grilled chicken

There seems to be considerable bottle variation. This and the first bottle i had were oxidized i think, and rather unpleasant, whereas the second (prior) bottle while oxidative, still had the freshness and liveliness i come to expect from champage. Not sure if it was a problem with this specific lot of bottles, or what. For this particular bottle, i had to dump my glass into the bushes.

minimal fizz, strong flavors of honeycomb, caramel, butterscotch, per evan has a raisiny porty feel. Some lemon on the finish, but this wine cant get past its original oxidative attack. It seemed to mellow out a little in the glass, but overall i was rather mystified, and found it totally out of balance. not rated.

Like a brilliant aged Chardonnay. Dark gold, slightly oxidised, crackling with energy
