  • PnP. En overligger fra kjelleren. Fortsatt mye vanilje i nesen her, Mortet eiket hardt før.

  • Ripe and as oaky as you’d expect from this era at Mortet but ultimately this all comes together rather well. Lovely balance between dark fruit and spice with great definition and buoyancy. Prominent, titillating tannins help this to wear its excess with chutzpah. Really surpassed my expectations.

  • Bottle from cellared storage... Decanted just prior to serving as from memory this was the oaky years at Chez Mortet.

Dark colour, oak, resin, sap and good attack. Oak, then a little more oak on top of that. Too much - will the fruit ever emerge from behind this wall of timber?
