Clearly an older wine - no fruit left - but no worse for that. Still quite grippy, low acidity, hint of sweetness? Plenty of body. Fantastic sipping wine at an evening.

Ruby red, tought of brown with no core. Smell is generous, fruity with herbs, some spices and lots of cherry and oak. On the palate it is heady , still tannic with lots of minerals, cherry, liqourice and oak. I like tannic in this wine, but there's not enough fruit to balance the minerals. Still it went wounderful with BBQ.

Much better than I can remember. Complex, peppery with massive fruit and an slightly earthy finish. Will get even better in a few years.
