  Way over the peak, considering the good fruit where this wine is from, no more legs here....I wish I had this wine 5 years ago....Cork got disintegrated, strainer is a must here.....

  Decanted for 4-5 hours. Absolutely great. Wine is drinking very nicely right now. Layers and layers of flavors - blackberrys, currants, etc. A little leathery. Wish I had a few more bottles in my cellar!

  Notes from day 2.
  Dark purple color.
  Nose of blackberries, a blueberry, a little floral, some smoke.
  Palate of blackberries, blueberry, a little vanilla, a distinct tart citrus note on the mid back with spice, pepper.
  The finish was above average in length and the mouthfeel was decent.
  Not a good qpr.
  Overall a solid wine that is IMO overoaked and has heat starts to surface as the wine warms to room temperature so serve at normal temps.

  At the price point I'm not sure I would buy this again. Certainly a good syrah but the price is a little dear.
