Decanted and filtered (good bit of sediment) about an hour before enjoying. Full bodied, good fruit, balanced. Holding up very well, thank goodness as we have quite a bit of it. Went very well with pork sausage, peppers and onion dish.

Still going strong. Drank with braised pork chops. Still plenty of fruit but in a more elegant way than when younger. One more bottle to a try a couple of years from now.

Judy Blue's Over the River & Through the Old Wines Event (Judith's House, WI): Purple color. PNP, drank 1 glass over an hour. I don't mind being the odd man out, and it would appear so based on recent notes on this. I will say this was clearly the winner of the trio of '06 Shiraz that we tried tonight (Greenock Apricot, Flinder's Run). The nose still can bring it with smoke, wood spice, cassis and blackberry. The palate is fairly consistent, black fruits, dark chocolate, but more wood and alcohol show here too. Still in decent shape, but not what I would call a nicely aged Aussie shiraz. Those producers exist, but they are fewer and farther in between.

Last of three and maybe the best bottle. Still going strong. Drink or hold. Elegant, still lot's of fruit.

Very over ripe fruit dominated the nose and the palate, some mineral on the finish brought the score up. Soldiered through most of it.
