Tasted by drvet11 on 11/7/2009 & rated 90 points: A nice nose of red fruits and anise with minor notes of pepper. Medium body with easy tannins and good acidity. Out of the bottle flavors of cherry and licorice with an additional taste of milk chocolate after 3 hours. (222 views)

Tasted by blondon on 9/27/2009: Popped and poured, enjoyed during the Giants romp over the Buccaneers. Very earthy, fruity and rich. Primary at first, fruit overwhelming. After about an hour the spiciness of the Grenache started to take over and led to a very nice drink. Red fruits, clove, allspice and nutmeg. Nice finish. Very enjoyable. (310 views)
Tasted by jrglm on 4/15/2009 & rated 86 points: Big wine. Lots of chewy tannins and heavy fruit. Enjoyed over two days. Never did get the rough edges off of this Rhône beast. (627 views)
Tasted by Quequeg on 2/7/2009 & rated 90 points: Well, this review is complicated by the fact that I have a cold. But, with limited taste and smell, I can still say that this had a ton of hot strawberry jam upon opening, mellowing to raspberry after about two hours of air. A wonderful wine, as far as I could tell. (689 views)
Tasted by Redmen91 on 12/24/2008 & rated 90 points: should have decanted. (699 views)
Tasted by blondon on 6/28/2008 & rated 93 points: Decanted for 2 hours, drank over the next 4. Unbelievable nose of rich black cherry exploded from the decanter. The nose became more prominent over the course of the evening, developing a deep spice component that enhanced the black cherry aroma. Very smooth in the mouth, unbelievable mouthfeel for such a young CdP. The balance was impeccable, the flavors inviting and exciting, fruity, fresh, sharp, acidic all at once, lingering throughout the long finish. A wonderful wine that is drinking great now and has the body to develop over several years. (862 views)
Tasted by ChdPhound on 6/22/2008 & rated 92 points: Excellent, bright, smooth, very clean berry flavours, excellent finish. Drank this as my shipment just came in with some heat and altitude problems. We live at 6500', but most of the problem, IMO, was from heat due to several aborted attempts by FedEx, then UPS, to deliver the wine. All 6 bottles had the corks pushed out by .1 " - .2" with some dried thick wine flow down the outside of the bottle from under the foil, on all bottles. Opened this one (the worst looking) and it tasted great, recorked for 2 days then opened for dinner and it was really great, a hit with everyone. So, maybe I've lucked out. I will probably drink the other 5 over the next 6 mos.; quite unusual for a Chateauneuf less than 2 years old. (870 views)
