Never could stand that fork ... (Mikhailgrad (Rego Park, Queens)): Nose starts of with a bit of dung, some peanut chews, spice, fruitcake, tart cherry fruit, florals? Stinky and stewy on the palate with earth, sous bois. Tart finish. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4/6, Finish - 3.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 0.5-1/2 = 13-13.5/20.

In the House of MLERMONTOV (New York, Rego Park): A truly beautiful wine on the nose with classic, mature Sangiovese notes of dried cherry, leather, crushed potpourri, plum and minerals. This showed elegant, mature fruit. On the palate, it may have seen its day, as this was clean, fresh and focused, yet never filled out, as pretty dry cherry notes and minerality provided an enjoyable experience, yet with a quick exit.

My first two bottles were flawed so happy to have one to drink. Almost no primary fruit, very mature profile. Very light and a little thin for my liking. Probably 3 years or so past it's peak.

day one: good forest floor, leather, cigar box and a bit of cherry; thinner mouthfeel and more tired than the 1979; an interesting experience but seems past its prime (85); day 2 wowsa, almost didnt retaste: brighter tart cranberry, acidity, still the leather tho less of the champignons; some length; surprisingly good (90)

(Il Colle Brunello di Montalcino Riserva) Bricking dark red violet color; mushroom, beef brisket, caramelized onion nose; tasty, beef brisket, mushroom, tart black fruit palate; medium-plus finish (much better than prior bottle I tried)

Nose: sour berries, tomato, hints of camphor, leather, strawberries, lots of bell peppers
Palate: lively acidity, sour red fruits, tannins present but the wine is watery
