Decanted for one hour; minimal sediment. Slightly cloudy, crimson red color to the rim. Bold nose of red fruits and leather. Quite lively acids and briery red fruits on the palate, with the acids now winning out, so I'm assuming this wine is now a little past its prime. Nonetheless, as a Zinfandel fan, I still like this wine.

Probably starting on the downside of the curve but still very enjoyable . Red and black fruit.

This is why I age zin. Still plenty of fruit, red and black, but also plenty of tertiary notes like earth and tea. Full bodied and not over done.

Drank really well. Still plenty of fruit but nice mellow tannins round out the experience.

There was some problems with the cork; wine would have been good otherwise.
